2010 Records Twitter Wall | Portfolio

Screenshot Of The 2010 Records Twitter WallI was asked to come up with a method of displaying the latest relevant tweets from Twitter at a record launch party. I created an XHTML / CSS page matching the colour scheme of the record label.

The page makes use of jQuery and some custom JavaScript to auto-refresh the page every 30 seconds with the latest tweets. It is easy to change the search string, limiting what tweets are displayed (tweets from a specific user, tweets to a specific user, tweets containing a specific a hash tag or tweets containing a specific phrase).

The webpage was optimised for display on a projector with a resolution of 1024 * 768. On the night, the Twitter Wall proved to be very popular with the bands & artists, the record label and all the guests.
